Call with role - set via desktop phone

If your telephony solution uses ACE Voice you can select what is to be presented at outbound calls. Shall the person you are calling see your fixed number, your mobile number, the company’s switchboard number or no number at all? As an agent you handle all calls in ACE Agent or ACE Interact, but the presentation choices and named roles are changed via any of the ACE Voice interfaces, i.e. web, softphone or desktop phone.

To select a role via your desktop phone you use a code, i.e. a digit representing a role. As roles and codes can be altered locally, you need to get the facts from your administrator.

  • To change your role until further notice, dial *24*<code>#.
  • To set a role for a separate call, returning to the previously used role after the call, dial *25*<code><telephone number>#.

Here is an example of a standard set of codes.

Role name Number to dial Number to dial for separate call
Mobile *24*1# *25*1*telephone number#
Fixed *24*2# *25*2*telephone number#
Switchboard *24*3# *25*3*telephone number#
Hidden *24*4# *25*4*telephone number#
If you have access to ACE Voice Web or ACE Softphone you can set your role there as well. See Call with role - set via web and Call with role - set via softphone.
