Edit and remove in Information Guide

Once a guide is created in Information Guide, you can only change the name of the guide. You do this in the Change guide window, opened with the Change... button. You cannot change the search keys.

When you have unticked the Enabled checkbox, and removed all records, you can remove the selected guide, using the Delete button. This means that you cannot remove a guide if it is enabled and/or contains records.

Remove a record from a guide

When an earlier confirmed record is being removed, it is first given the Deleted modification status, and it is seen in ACE Agent until the change has been confirmed. A record with Deleted status can be rolled back. When the removal is confirmed, the record is completely erased from the guide.

Records in a guide can be marked for removal by a user having the Change guide or Own guide access right. To confirm the removal and roll back the record you require the Own guide access right.

The original status of the record rules whether it can be removed, as well as the access right required to remove it. A record with Changed status cannot be removed. First, the record must be confirmed or rolled back.

To confirm or roll back a changed record, you require the Own guide access right.

A record with New status can be removed immediately.

To remove a new record that has not yet been confirmed, you require the Modify guide or Own guide access right.

The selected record gets Deleted status when you click on the Delete record… button, i.e. a record selected for removal will be removed permanently when the removal has been confirmed.
