Basics about flow objects

In each dialogue flow there are flow objects. When you click on a flow object, a new window is opened with information about the object.

Many flow objects have specific properties, but all of them have the following general properties:

Name
A short but descriptive name for the flow object.
Description
An optional descriptive text for the flow object, e.g. its intended use.
Drawing symbol
A graphical representation of the specific flow object type, how it may be illustrated in a flow chart.

Most flow object types also have a list of Exits. An exit is the transition from one object to another, a junction where calls, e.g. after having passed a menu choice in the IVR, continues to another part of the flow.

Flow objects may also include any number of the following properties:

Measuring point
Ticked if the dialogue object should be a measuring point for IVR statistics.
The object is active
Ticked if the dialogue object is active. Unticked means the object will be bypassed in the flow and continue on the Next object exit.

The most common types of flow objects are described more in detail in the following sections.
