Basics about email routing
You specify the routing for emails in ACE Admin, under the Routing | Contact routing, the Email tab.
You can only route by the contact data keys created by ACE Email. The available contact data keys are:
- Defined categories
- Data from pattern matching
- Data retrieved from the letter head, i.e. EmailFrom, EmailTo, EmailReplyTo and EmailSubject
If you want to route by categories you select the emailCategories contact data key and enter the value for the category/categories that you want the routing to consider. This requires the incoming data, i.e. what can be read in the emails, to match exactly the categories configured under the Email | Methods for categorising menu choice. In the value column you can enter several categories, separated by semi colons. Their relative order is of no importance for the outcome of the routing.
