Basics about Menu objects

A menu consists of a number of phrases and a number of exits. A menu object reads out a menu consisting of a number of phrases to guide the caller in making different choices using his/her DTMF telephone. When the caller has listened to the menu options and has supplied a valid choice, such as having pressed "1" on the telephone, the call is routed on to the exit corresponding to this choice.

Each exit must have a unique DTMF sequence regardless of whether it is active or not.

In addition to the general properties, the Menu object window has properties grouped into three tabs:

Settings for DTMF input
See Menu object - Settings for DTMF input.
Phrases
See Menu object - Phrases tab.
Exits
Description of the various menu exits, see Menu object - Exits tab.
