In the Routing search order window, the order in which the different combinations of contact data keys will be used when looking for a suitable routing row for a certain contact is specified, see The Routing of contacts window. The order is configured per media direction and organisation area. This relates to new installations of systems. In older, existing systems, there is a routing algorithm programmed to disregard this routing order.
You create new combinations of contact data keys by
- double clicking on an empty row below the key 1 heading,
- selecting a contact data key from a drop-down list, or
- double clicking on the same row in the next box, below the key 2 heading, select from the list, etc.
If there is no column for key 2 (if nobody has configured a search order for this media earlier), the column will be created when you click to the right of column 1.
Then you can move the row up or down to the position you want, using the arrows on the right.
